How We Help Families Facing Cancer

At HEADstrong, we provide more than just housing.
We offer hope, comfort, and a community that walks with families through their toughest moments.

We house

Families traveling for cancer treatment stay at Nick’s House, a warm, welcoming home, always free of charge.

We support

We care for the whole family, from emotional support to shared meals, because healing goes beyond medicine.

We fundraise

We bring people together through events and campaigns to raise the funds that keep Nick’s House running.

The Heart Behind HEADstrong

Nick was more than just a brother, son, and friend, he was a fighter. Diagnosed with cancer at a young age, Nick’s life was cut short, but his legacy continues through Nick’s House.

His dream was to provide families who were undergoing cancer treatment with a place to stay, so they could focus on healing, not the financial burden of housing.

Nick Colleluori - HEADstrong Founder

“Make use of the time you have and don’t stress the little things. Have a smile and enjoy what you can get out of life.”

Keeping Families Together With Love

Nick’s House is not just about offering a place to stay, it’s about providing hope, comfort, and a sense of community to families when they need it most.

Stories of Strength and Resilience

The heroes and families that we’ve served have a story worth sharing and inspire us to continue our journey in providing solutions.

Ben Austin

Thanks to HEADstrong, the Austin family was able to stay together while Ben was battling stage IV kidney cancer.

Lily

When a family is hit with the news of a cancer diagnosis, it rocks their whole world. For the Camp family from Texas, the feeling of home they had when staying at Nick's House while their daughter Lily underwent treatment made all the difference.

Elizabeth York

Elizabeth York needed to travel to Boston for treatment after having trouble swallowing a mass was found on her esophagus. Through Nick's House, she was able to focus on treatment instead of the financial burden it would place on her family.

Emil Boures

Emil Boures is a former offensive lineman for the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers. He recovered at Nick’s House for three months following a bone marrow transplant to treat Myelofibrosis, saying: “This place is unbelievable and phenomenal.”

Danielle Parker

She received her transplant on October 23rd, and checked into Nick’s House just a few weeks later. For the natural born caretaker, taking a step back and letting others do the work has been one of the hardest adjustments for Daniele. “The toughest thing has been not being in control. I get winded, if I want to do something I just can’t. I’m relying on my husband to do a lot of stuff. “

Thomas

Thomas and his younger sister Vivianne were both diagnosed with bilateral retinolblastoma while living in Tennessee. For the best outcome, they traveled to Philadelphia and spent over six months at Nick's House.
